Goodbye Montana.

We really enjoyed our visit with Julie and Dan in Helena, Mt. Sunday, we took a hike in Trout Creek Canyon and did some geocaching while we were there. The big kids stayed home with their friends, so it was the grown-ups and Maggie. Since Maggie's birthday is Monday and we would be on the road, we made Sunday her special day too. She broke out the birthday crown this morning in preparation for the royal celebration.
Trout Creek Canyon Hike

Since Maggie loves geocaching, we made that part of the hike. She found two caches on the hike, the we searched for fossils in the creek.

After the hike, we headed back to the house to check in on the big kids. The boys spent the day in front of the xbox. The girls had made a birthday banner for Maggie while we were out and got all her presents set up in the living room. We got some cake and ice cream for celebrating after dinner. After a quick park trip, we settled down for the all-important present-opening. It was so nice for Maggie to have friends to celebrate her birthday with while we are on the road.

Another fun day with friends. It will be sad to say goodbye. :-(
