Another Portland Day

Adding more states to the map.
Portland continues to entertain, amuse and exhaust the Hobos. After sleeping in a little late this morning, Jim and I ran some errands to Camping World and Rerack, a store that specializes in used roof racks! Only in Portland. LOL. We spent a little more time at the campground, washing the trailer, adding more states to our map, and the girls took a swim.

We were lucky enough to be in town for First Thursday. Galleries stay open late on the first Thursday of each month and they close off a few of the streets for vendors to sell craft items. We enjoyed the festivities and got to see the Chinese gardens since they were offering free admission for First Thursday. Oh, and we stopped at Voodoo Doughnuts on our way to Chinatown. The array of crazy doughnuts was entertaining, Dirty Old Man, Maple and Bacon, Tang topping, Cap'n crunch, and the list goes on. I had to try the maple and bacon because it was so too weird. It was... interesting. One of those things you should try once.

A little Lego and art time

VooDoo Donuts

So many donuts, so little time.

I'm not sure what kind Maggie got.

Dirty Old Man

The weirdness seems safe to me.

Chinatown

Cargo, a very cool store with lots of
interesting stuff from China.

LanSu Chinese Gardens

Amazing art. These were so realistic, and
they were silk embroidery!

  2. I loved the Japanese Gardens but never made it to the Chinese Gardens. Chris went and adored them! We were busy going to Thrift stores...so many, so little time... And I am not a donut lover but glad you went as I have heard many times that it is worth doing. Don't forget to hit the Farmer's Markets!
