Tomorrow is the big day!!

Tomorrow is the big day! Everything is just about ready to go and we will be heading out in the morning!

We dropped all the pets off at their various sitters over the last two days. Before the dogs went to the dog sitter, we thought it would be nice if they were clean, so we took them to the dog wash in Waynesboro.

This place is really clever. It's part of the carwash, there are three carwash bays and this enclosed room on the end. It's just a concrete floored room with plastic walls, a drain in the floor and this nifty table/sink in the middle of the room. For $5, you get 10 minutes of wash and dry time. The shampoo and conditioner comes out of the faucet with the flip of a switch, and there is even a dryer! Havoc and Lucy were not impressed, but they sure did smell better when we were finished.

After they were all cleaned up, we took them to the dog sitter. They are staying with a very nice woman in a huge plantation house in Jefferson. She seems to be a real animal love and I'm sure they will be well taken care of. I just hope they behave themselves.

All the shopping is done, the trailer is packed, bikes and kayaks loaded into the pickup truck, and we are just about ready to head out. I can't believe how much room there is in the trailer. We just kept loading it up with more stuff and we still have empty cabinets. Amazing.

We are heading to the Cleveland area first, mostly because it was about 6 hours along on the path to Yellowstone and it seemed like a good place to stop the first day. We didn't want to overestimate how far we could get in one day and get in somewhere too late in the evening, since this will be our first attempt at setting up camp. Jim and I are both a little nervous, having never done anything like this before. But we're also excited about the trip.
