Cleveland Rocks!

It was Rock N Roll Day for the Hobos. We get up at the crack of 9:00 and got set to head out to Cleveland to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. It was rainy, so we figured it was a good day to do an inside activity.

After a wet mishap with a leaking back truck window, and an emergency stop to buy towels and silicone in a sketchy section of town, we got to the quite lovely waterfront area where the museum is.

So, here is my take on the Rock N Roll Museum. It's great for rock fans. Jim and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids were less impressed. They liked seeing some of the things that were familiar to them. Maggie now know where the song "moves like Jagger" comes from, and Kate enjoyed seeing all the guitars. Conner was impressed with the homage to Johnny B Good and Highway to Hell, his two favorite songs. But beyond that, they were most definitely only humoring their old parents. The Science Center next door looked great and I think they would have loved it. So we promised them next stop, we'll do an activity more to their tastes. That aside, we did enjoy the day.
Getting ready to see Rock Hall!

Note the giant guitar she is holing up.

Another giant guitar.

The sad news of the day was that The Christmas Story House and Museum was closed. :-( Nooooooo. So we had to be satisfied with some pictures from the outside.

Can you see the major award in the window?

No red ride BB gun for us.
Tomorrow, biking and hiking in Cuyohoga Valley National Park!
